ABOUT WINTERSHORTS Since 2017 the Tanz Company gervasi, in collaboration with the performance group Liquid Loft, has been organizing yearly Wintershorts in their rehearsal studios in the Laxenburgerstrasse 28-30. 1100 Wien. Wintershorts is a two days event that grows from the desire of opening up the space where the creative process take place and invite audience, colleagues and passers-by to discover the world of contemporary performance art, in a friendly and informal atmosphere. In 2017 Wintershorts events ( 7-8/12/17) the Raum 33 (rehearsal space of the Tanz Company Gervasi) and Living Room (rehearsal space of Liquid Loft) welcomed a long evening of performances and concerts presenting the following viennese artists and groups: Daniel Aschwanden, Georg Blaschke, Tanz Company Gervasi, Barbara Kraus, Sara Lanner, Akemi Takeya, Liquid Loft, Musser & Schwamberger, Michael Bruckner. Already in 2018 Wintershorts has expanded the program (13-14/12/18) including the rehearsal space of Studio Matsune (Pernerstorfergasse 5 / B4 , 1100) with a program starting at 16.30 and finishing at 23:00. The 2021 edition of Wintershorts (planned 26-27/11/21 and postponed to 25-26/02/22) has furthermore expanded including now 7 ateliers and studios in 3 different location in the 10th district: Raum33 / TanzcompanyGervasi LiquidLoft / LivingRoom Laxenburgerstrasse 28-30, 1100 Studio Matsune Studio Anne Juren, Roland Rauschmeier Pernerstorfergasse 5 / B4 , 1100 Bears in the Park Studio Anat Stainberg Studio Otmar Wagner Kempelengasse 1, Bauteil 1, EG, 1100 Wintershorts in now a unique possibility to tour around ateliers and studios of Vienna’s performance artists in the 10th district with insights into rehearsal processes and a diverse program of performances, installations, open rehearsals and music with free admission and the possibility to meet the artists in their creative environment. The program of Wintershorts is organized in a way that public can visit all the locations and enjoys all the events in the time frame of an afternoon/evening or chose to only experience specific events.
